SSO for ReadMe.io
I was recently using your API documentation here — https://developers.checklyhq.com/ — and was surprised to see that I needed to auth / sign in to it. Ideally this would be seamless (e.g. “I’m already signed in, because I’m already signed in to the Checkly webapp), or a single click signs me in via Checkly webapp SSO. This shouldn’t be an entirely new user account with a third-party service.

We’ve since then migrated our docs, and the API docs are publicly available here:

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. This sounds like a bug.
The developer docs are accessible without logging in, so feel free to avoid logging in to this 3rd party service.
I’ve reached out to FE engineers to take a look into this.
Cheers

Yes, they are accessible without auth, that’s not the issue.
I’m suggesting that Auth for the Readme.io site should be as seamless / zero-config as possible, which enables the various fields in the Readme.io site to be auto-populated. (e.g. the
X-Checkly-Accountheader, etc)See [this Slack thread in your Community Slack for reference](https://checklycommunity.slack.com/archives/C04349E26EN/p1727284093715909).
